As you may know, speeding on Skywae Drive has been an issue for Sharon Woods residents and a topic of discussion within our association for a number of years. Pat Wood reminded us in the most recent issue of The Gatepost that the City of Columbus is aware of the issue and is considering some options for addressing speeding along Skywae Drive.

Meanwhile, the NBC4 Speed Busters team visited our community to interview Don Schneider, Pat Wood, and Roger Yontz about the speeding problem on Skywae Drive…

Thanks to Don, Pat, and Roger for championing safe driving in our neighborhood!

The Sharon Woods Civic Association will continue to keep in touch with city officials about speeding issues in our community. If you’d like to report speeding violations, the City of Columbus’ 311 Service Center (614-645-3111; [email protected]) is the best place to do so. If you contact 311, our community’s police liaison recommends that you also request a motorcycle unit to be dispatched to monitor the situation. (The more people reporting speeding issues, the more likely our community will be to receive the necessary support from the city and law enforcement.)

Thank you for doing your part to keep our streets safe by abiding by the posted speed limits!
