High school seniors, apply for this scholarship by April 13!
Our association will award a $500 scholarship to one graduating high school senior residing in Sharon Woods, which can be used toward their college career or trade school. To be eligible for this scholarship, each student must:
- Complete all fields in the form below;
- Carry a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher;
- Complete at least 30 hours of community service during the student’s junior or senior year; and
- Submit an essay (no more than 750 words) explaining the community service completed by the student, how the community service has affected the student, and how the student intends on continuing to serve their community in the future.
It is with great pride that we offer this opportunity to a soon-to-be college or trade school student in recognition of their support for the community. We hope this will inspire the student to continue in community service throughout life.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Completed applications should be mailed to the Sharon Woods Civic Association (P.O. Box 297974, Columbus, Ohio 43229) or submitted online.
Upon review of applications and at their discretion, the association may schedule personal interviews (in-person or via Zoom) before awarding the scholarship. Please comment below with any questions or comments.
