In our last association meeting, Community Liaison Officer Rodney Reed shared a useful document he often hands out to individuals and groups as he serves in our community. The Columbus Coalition “Street Card” is an excellent reference list containing information on resources — nonprofit, agency, and government — for people experiencing various struggles.
Those resources are grouped into broad categories such as:
- Domestic violence
- Mental health
- Substance abuse
- Healthcare
- Employment
- Housing/eviction
- …and more
Perhaps this document could be handy if you encounter someone in need. Consider printing off several copies and stocking them in your car, purse, or other place so you can share the helpful information with someone in need.
