Upcoming NCC Development Committee Vote

January 7, 2023

Residents of Sharon Woods have an upcoming opportunity to hear from Lianna Barbu, Associate Director of the Community Shelter Board, regarding a proposed Permanent Supportive Housing development at 1889 Dublin-Granville Road. This location is a former motel on the south side of 161, next to Popeyes Chicken.

The Community Shelter Board is proposing to use the site for housing approximately 70 individuals facing homelessness. This proposal will be presented to our Northland Community Council (NCC) Development Committee on January 25, 2023. As the representative for Sharon Woods, I will be present to vote on whether or not the NCC Development Committee should approve or disapprove of this proposal.

You will be able to hear from the Community Shelter Board at 7:00 PM this Tuesday, January 10, at Epworth United Methodist Church (5100 Karl Road). Our neighboring communities Forest Park and Devonshire will be joining us. I would appreciate meeting you there and hearing your feedback to help me form this decision that may affect our community. Thank you for considering joining me for this significant community decision.

Please contact me if you have any questions (740-971-7495; [email protected]).
