The once-bustling Northland Community Center pool has become an eyesore in recent years, but this may change soon.

As you may know, the former site of the Northland Community Center pool has been turned into a private residence in the past few years, and the property was recently sold to a new owner. The new owner has proposed to the Northland Community Council’s (NCC) Development Committee to put new apartments on the 2.55 acre lot. The original proposal called for the development of a 48-unit, three-story building to house market-value apartments.

The NCC Development Committee reviewed the proposal three times over the last year and granted approval for the final version on March 30, 2022. Based on the final proposal, the complex will house 46 units of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with rents estimated to be $1,200–1,500 per month. On-site management/maintenance staffing is planned.
