I want to thank the 14 folks who showed up to clean up the two islands at 161 and Sharon Woods Boulevard yesterday! Franklin Ludwig, the owner of Nextdoor Lawn and Landscape, LLC, stayed with us the whole time and used two trucks to help block traffic so it was safer for those who worked there. He also provided the mulch and a weed controller that was sprinkled before the mulch was put down, so hopefully we will have fewer weeds to deal with in the future.
The islands are now rid of weeds, some plantings have been thinned out, and fresh mulch now covers those areas. Between volunteers from the Columbus Beechcroft Lions Club and our community, we finished the job in just 2 ½ hours. Many hands make a job easier. Thanks again.
