Opening: Meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance

Guest Speaker: Kay Hatch and Pastor Jim from the Church of the Good Shepherd- He has been at the church for just over a year. Their plans for 2026 are to get more involved with the community. They are looking for ideas on how the Church can get more involved. They will have a new sign installed soon.
President Report (Thomas Page)– Thomas brought information about the Columbus proposal to change the code for ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Unit). There is an upcoming meeting to discuss.

VP Report (Elizabeth Fulakis)- She wanted to thank everyone for helping with NNO. We received a grant from the city for $600 for expenses so far. We had a great turnout, and we think that 225 people attended.
NCC Meeting (Elizabeth Fulakis)– Their guest speaker was from MORPC, and he was discussing the air quality for our city which has improved recently. You can see current air quality information at: https://www.airnow.gov/
NCC Dev Meeting- We are looking for a new representative to attend meetings. The former O’Charleys is going to be a Moo Moo Car Wash. There were 3 cases at last month’s meeting, and 1 of them was voted down.
Secretary Report (Laura Bastin)– We are looking for volunteers to deliver the next Gatepost, and it would be delivered the last week of September. If you are available to help, please email [email protected]

Beautification Report (Penny Hackbarth): A resident has generously donated money to have a landscaper take care of the two islands on Sharon Woods and 161. The existing plants will be torn out and mulch is being put down. These islands will be removed when the roundabout goes in.
Gatepost (Thomas Page): The next issue has been designed, and it will be ordered soon.
Website (Tyler Mitchell): The website has been updated to show upcoming events on our homepage. We are setting up a SWCA store, so our neighbors can purchase SWCA merchandise if you would like to support our neighborhood.
