Opening: Meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance
Police Liaison: Our former Liaison, John Brown, moved to another position. We will be assigned a new CLO.
President Report (Thomas Page)– What topics does the larger group want to see discussed/presented at future SWCA meetings? Please let us know!
VP Report (Elizabeth Fulakis)- Elizabeth received a reminder postcard from NNO, and we are planning this year’s event. It will be the first Tuesday in August at Northgate Intermediate School.
NCC Meeting– Sarah Pomeroy is taking a new job with Franklin County. For now, Tiara Ross is handling code violations and Steve Dunbar is taking over non code violations.
Through the end of May, Columbus Libraries have a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame partnership. https://www.columbuslibrary.org/rock-and-roll/
NCC Dev Meeting- All cases this month were residential.
Secretary Report (Laura Bastin)– no report
Treasurer Report (Karen Osmond): We are running short of extra contributions and advertising sales. If you would like a copy of the Treasurer report, please reach out to [email protected]
Beautification Report (open): We are looking for a new volunteer to chair the Beautification Committee.
New News- SWCA is now 503c approved. We will have to take additional actions each year for tax purposes, but we will be able to get access to free software, etc. to help run the organization. Thank you to Tyler for helping us get this designation!
Gatepost- We plan to deliver the next Gatepost door hanger in the April/May timeframe. We will need volunteers to help us deliver to the houses in Sharon Woods. We are looking for a sponsor for the Spring edition of the Gatepost.
Upcoming Events: NNO 2025- We have approval from Principal Jones to hold the event at Northgate again. We will start having planning meetings in the New Year. If you are interested in helping plan this event, please reach out to Elizabeth or Lelia.

We are still looking for more volunteers from our community to put these events together and to take on open board member/committee roles. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in learning more. The roles that are currently open are: Beautification, Social Media, Gatepost, Welcoming and Nominating Committees
