Location: Church of the Good Shepherd, Sharon Woods Blvd.

Opening: Meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance

CLO– Rodney Mayberry [email protected] [email protected] He could not attend.

Guest Speakers– Two team members from ODPS came to discuss the Sharon Woods Blvd. Bike Lane and resurfacing projects. They will begin the project in the Fall which is part of Vision Zero. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Chloe Green [email protected]

President Report (Thomas Page)- Thomas shared information from Columbus Foundation’s Kindness Close To Home Neighboring Initiative. Thomas completed the latest draft of the Gatepost, and that will be delivered to houses soon.

VP Report (Elizabeth Fulakis)- We received the grant for $640 for NNO.

NCC Meeting (Elizabeth Fulakis)– Christine, NCC President, presented that our population is growing. You can request a library pop-up cart, and that could be a good idea for NNO. There are a lot of upcoming 161 Cleanup Dates if you would like to get involved with that group. They meet behind the Jiffy Lube on Sharon Woods and 161.

NCC Dev Meeting- There were two cases brought up in the meeting, but they weren’t for our area.

Secretary Report (Laura Bastin)– Notes for this meeting will be posted on our website. Laura is looking for volunteers to help deliver the next Gatepost. We have moved our payment platform from Square to Zeffy, and we will send information about this.

Treasurer Report (Karen Osmond): You can get the latest report by reaching out to [email protected] Karen is looking for someone to replace her as the Treasurer.

Beautification (Penny Hackbarth): We are looking for volunteers to help clean up the islands at 161 and Sharon Woods and then in the wooden islands at Sharon Woods and Schrock.

Welcoming Committee (Penny Hackbarth): They have delivered to 7 new houses in the neighborhood. We will add copies of the Gatepost when we have them.

Upcoming Events:

Island Clean Up- We are requesting volunteers to help clean up the islands on Sharon Woods Blvd. We are meeting on Saturday 6/13 to clean up the island at 161 and Sharon Woods and then on 6/27 to clean up the island at Sharon Woods and Schrock Rd.

SWCA Meeting 7/2 7PM at the Church of Good Shepherd

4th of July Parade– need neighbors to walk in the parade, and we are going to pass out flags again.

NNO- Our event is on Tuesday 8/4 this year at Northgate Intermediate School.

Self Defense class- Discussed setting this up in the Fall with Spencer Safety Services.

Garage Sale Labor Day Weekend– email [email protected] if you would like to participate.

Spencer Safety Services presented that they are working on hosting a local Acton Children’s Business Fair on 8/1 which is a way to allow children to demonstrate their business skills and showcase their products. The location is still being determined.

Call to Action:

We are still looking for more volunteers from our community to take on open board member/committee roles. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in learning more. The roles that are currently open are: Advertising, Social Media, Gatepost content creation, helping with the Beautification of our neighborhood
