The Community Liaison Officer for Sharon Woods, Officer Larry Geis, will retire in July 2022 from the Columbus Police Department. Officer Geis has been a key partner in the safety and order of our community, are we are very grateful!

In addition to patrolling our streets most days and addressing day-to-day concerns, Officer Geis has served as the Community Liaison Officer for our neighborhood for the past 12 years. Many residents have had the pleasure of getting to know him, and he has faithfully attended many of our monthly association meetings to provide updates to our residents and answer questions. Officer Geis has also attended Block Watch meetings, active shooter training, and National Night Out events to connect with community members.

As the former Block Watch coordinator, I can say that working with Officer Geis has been a pleasure and I consider him a good friend. On behalf of our community, I want to say “thank you” to Officer Geis for his wisdom, caring, and help over those years. We wish you all the best in your retirement!
